Frosting Sandwich!

Endless January got you down? Here's my prescription: One (or four) Frosting Sandwich(es) ! So easy! So sugary! So delicious! So bad for you!
Yep, it's just what it looks like. Take a graham cracker, break it in half. Spread frosting (leftover from some much more exciting baked good) on one half, cover it with the other half. Enjoy blissfully.

At least, enjoy it for a few minutes until the crushing guilt sets in. :((((((((( I seem to suffer from an unending cycle of guilts: Eater's Remorse, Buyer's Remorse, Imperfectionist's Remorse, repeat. And I've decided to take action and break the Eater's Remorse, even if it means leaning a little more heavily on the Buyer's Remorse. (We'll worry about that last one some other time.) Here's what I mean:

If I don't publicly state a goal, it gets conveniently forgotten. So this is going to count as my public forum. And it's not a goal so much as a bribe. If I lose 5 to 10 pounds by the end of March, I will get to buy a new dress to wear to Brooke's cousin's wedding in Baltimore. 5 lbs.=$50 for said dress. 10 lbs.=$100. It's significant that it will be a dress; I will have weaned Jude (FINALLY, HOORAY) and so I will actually get to wear non-breastfeeding-friendly clothing for the first time in a year. Here are some of the lovelies I'm thinking about, all of them from modcloth:

<----The Deuce Coupe Darling Dress.
Too hausfrau-ish for a wedding?

The About the Artist Dress.------>
Too funeral-ish for a wedding?

The Soda Fountain Dress in Grape! Just right! If only my size weren't sold out. Boohoo.
I'm definitely still in the market. Have you seen any desirable dresses lately? What do you think of these ones? This will be the first (FIRST) non-Mormon wedding I've ever been to, and I'm not totally sure about the dress code. Am I way off?

I second the gray one. I love the details like the ruffles, bow,and the lines. Also I'm doing my mom's diet on monday. I reading the best baby book it "the baby whisperer". I wish I had read it before Amélie was born.

I am not an expert at wedding attire for guests at non-Mormon weddings ... I have heard that you should NOT WEAR WHITE! I love the gray one too - but then again, I love gray. You can add color with accessories.
What ever you do, I know you will look stunning (just try not to look prettier than the bride - but you are a natural beauty so I'm afraid you will anyway).

This particular wedding will be pretty fancy-dancy--an evening wedding with lots of glam. The gray one wins my vote, too.

I have coveted that fountain pop dress in yellow... but they are out of my size, too. Life's so mean.

Thanks for the feedback, everybody! I do like that gray dress, and it would look good with a pink cardigan I have...
And yeah, Isa, I saw the yellow version of that dress first and thought "Too bad I look awful in yellow!" So I was excited to find the purple one a few minutes later. I actually think the yellow is prettier, but it would look wretched on me.

Greg's family is a HUGE fan of the frosting cookies :), but I am in your camp trying to lose weight for something much less desirable. TREK. We were asked to be a Ma and Pa. I love your idea of a new dress and the ones you picked out were WAY cute. I like all of them, but I haven't been to a non-LDS wedding in awhile either. I need to find something to motivate me like you did. Inspiring, thanks!

ok. yes, i grew up on frosting in between grahams. second of all, is it bad to admit i think you would look fantastic in the purple. grey, shmrey. the purple would make you look second best, next to the bride, that is.

and third of all, I WANT IN! can i do the contest with you??? i have a goal to be lighter by the time the yoga for congo women event happens, but this would push me faster.
there are some cute dresses at lands end canvas (their trendy line) that i like.

good luck!!!!!

Well, all of the other posts are not as important as the opinion of your Father. Buy the gray and I'll buy the purple. How is that?

Hey those are really cute dresses! Have you ever looked on ShabbyApple or MikaRose? I LOVE those sites, although so far I've been too scared to order anything since I can't try it on...
